Quintet Plus is inviting those who are interested in singing to come out to “Invite a Friend,” Monday, Sept. 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Church.

Michelle Erlandson has taken on the role of director and is excited to start the new session.

Erlandson has an Associatie of the Royal Conservatory diploma in piano and just recently completed the same in voice through the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.

Both diplomas are held in the designation of teachers.

Erlandson has a passion for sharing and teaching musicians and loves taking her knowledge of music to help others grow.

The philosophy behind her teaching is that it is never too late to try something new.

“A willingness to learn and work together is all that is needed to join the group,” Erlandson says. “I encourage many to join because singing is such a therapeutic activity that is not only good for one’s own soul but also an awesome activity to share with others.”

Quintet Plus practices Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Church.

The choir currently has about 25 members and performs at the annual Medieval Market, Tuba John Concert, Senior’s Village, Parade of Choirs and Cariboo Festival.

For more information contact Erlandson at 250-392-5123.

Or people can simply join the group this coming Monday, Sept. 21 for a free night of singing and learning.
