Pot-luck Friday at the seniors' centre

It was nice to see a good crowd turn out for the roast beef dinner fundraiser held on Sunday, Feb 20 at the Seniors’ Activity Centre.

The food was excellent.

Thanks to all those involved for making this a very enjoyable evening.

The Valentine Tea held by the Old Age Pensioners’ Organization, Branch 93 on Sunday, Feb. 12 honouring seniors 80 and over was very well attended as well.

A big thank you to our convener Floris Martineau and all her helpers for a very enjoyable afternoon.

The OAPO Branch 93 will be having their Shamrock Luncheon and bake sale on Thursday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Seniors’ Centre.

Tickets for their raffle are on sale now.

Money raised at the lucheon will be donated to the Salvation Army. Hope to see you there wearing your favourite green outfit to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

If you have any good used clothing you want to get rid of the OAPO Branch 93 will be having its spring clothing sale on the weekend of April 14 and 15, downstairs at the Seniors’ Activity Centre.

Drop your clothing off at the centre or call Marlene at 250-398-8025 for pick-up.

There will be a pot-luck dinner at the centre this Friday, Feb. 24 starting at 5:30 p.m.

Membership fees are due now.

They help to pay the bills until next month. ave a good day.
