Popular Halloween house benefits Jubilee Place residents

Williams Lake residents looking for a little extra fun this Halloween can head down to Wayne Lucier’s house at 717-Ninth Ave.

Lucier, the homeless outreach worker for the Canadian Mental Health Association Cariboo Chiclotin Branch, is again raising funds and non-perishable food items for a worthy cause.

This year Lucier expects the items — used as an entrance fee — will be given to Jubilee Place to help residents.

Lucier’s haunted garage and yard has been a fixture in the neighbourhood for the last few years which has allowed him to collect more and more spooky paraphernalia.

In addition to the many mechanical items he’ll have on display, there will be a dozen people in costume.

“It’ll be hard to tell what’s real and what’s not,” Lucier says.

During the day the display will be open to kids starting at 1 p.m. Oct. 31.

The haunted display will be open until 8 p.m.

“The reason we keep doing this is we are having such a blast and it helps,” he says.
