Peace cranes donated for Scout Island Nature Centre spring yard and garden sale

Peace cranes will be part of Scout Island Nature Centre's spring yard and garden sale Saturday, May 7.

Janice Kozuki has used her skills in the Japanese art of origami paper folding to make hundreds of peace cranes that she is selling to help raise funds for programs and upkeep of the Scout Island Nature Centre.

The Williams Lake Field Naturalists, who manage the nature centre, are hosting their  annual spring yard and garden sale at the Scout Island Nature Centre Saturday, May 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Expect to find Janice's peace cranes, interesting house and garden plants, bird houses, household treasures, as well as sports and outdoor equipment, garden implements and more. Funds raised by this sale provide for a student bursary.
