A kayaking festival like no other, the Unlikely Paddlefest, adventure combines four gorgeous days of paddling today through Monday, Sept. 19 on the Quesnel River at Likely.

A kayaking festival like no other, the Unlikely Paddlefest, adventure combines four gorgeous days of paddling today through Monday, Sept. 19 on the Quesnel River at Likely. More experienced paddlers take to the Chilco River on Monday.

The weekend features a social environment, along with live entertainment, and kayaking demos and instruction for newcomers.

Scramble

for Literacy

 

 

 

Originally scheduled for Aug. 6, this year’s Fifth Annual Scramble for Literacy golf tournament has been rescheduled to Sept. 24.

The tournament, put on by the Cariboo Chilcotin Partners for Literacy and sponsored by Heartland Toyota, will be held at the Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club and is used to help raise funds for CCPL literacy programs in the community.

Prizes, a banquet and an auction will be a part of the tournament.
