Musical entertainment had some guests up and dancing during the annual tea celebrating the City of Williams Lake's 88th birthday held at the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin Wednesday, March 15.

Geoff Bourdon and his wife Kendal attended with their son Jack, 19 months, and the newest member of their family, Molly, who is just three weeks old.

Jack has already developed a great sense of rhythm and couldn't help but dancing when Wayne Lucier and Alan Giddens started playing popular country-rock tunes on their guitars and harmonizing their voices.

His great aunt Cindy Watt and grandmother Brenda Bourdon also took turns dancing with Jack.

Geoff works in the family business at Woodland Jewellers where he designs and creates one-of-a-kind rings and jewellery.

Woodland Jewellers has a large display of early watchmaking and jewellery repair tools, equipment, furniture and other memorabilia in the basement of the museum along with information about the history of Woodland Jewellers which got its start in Williams Lake with watchmaker E.G. "Tony" Woodland back in 1933.

Both Lucier and Giddens who performed at the tea are also on the museum board of directors and sometimes perform together at festivals.

Giddens also sings and plays with LeRae Haynes and will be among performers this summer at Performances in the Park.

In addition to Lucier and Giddens the museum board includes president George Atamanenko, vice-president Surinderpal Rathor, secretary Loren Buckle, treasurer Michael Rawluk, and directors Marjorie Schuk, Jason Hughes, and Diana French.
