The executive director and curator at the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin is hoping someone will recognize the subject of a painting the museum recently acquired.

“It was given to me by a woman who has lived in Williams Lake for 50 or 60 years,” William Adams said Wednesday at the museum.

“She thinks the subject of the portrait may have been the person who gave it to her husband, but she isn’t’ sure.”

In the right hand corner of the portrait is the artist’s signature — Paul Wong.
