Morris Bates Williams Lake Stampede Parade Marshal

Elvis tribute artist Morris Bates, honored with the Williams Lake Stampede Parade Marshal.

This year’s Stampede Parade theme is Rockin’ & Rollin’ in the Cariboo and in a fitting tribute to the theme Morris Bates, the lakecity’s — if not the world’s — first really great Elvis tribute artist will be this year’s honorary parade marshal.

And in keeping with the tribute a $250 prize will be given to the Best Elvis Impersonator in the parade.

Entry applications for the Daybreak Rotary’s Stampede Parade on Saturday, June 30 are available in issues of the Tribune.
