Circumpolar star trails — As our Earth revolves, the stars appear to spin around Polaris, the pole star, which itself is not at the direct centre of our celestial pole. On the clear Chilcotin night of Aug. 11, an open camera lens recorded this circumpolar progression of the stars by the Chilcotin River, west of Bull Canyon.
