Jola Jarecki from Quesnel arranged the harmony for the duet that she would play with Jean Wellburn during the opening of the Station House Gallery's November show in the main gallery featuring the work of weaver Jane Perry and potter Joan Beck.

The November show opened Thursday evening to a packed house and lots of tasty appetizers and conversation, with the artists taking centre stage for a short talk each explaining the inspirations for their new work.

The tune played by the harpists is called To Drive the Cold Winter Away, a 17th Century English Christmas ballad that inspired the show's name.

"We can embrace winter and see it as an opportunity to gear down with more time indoors for reading, crafts, and gathering with friends" the artists say.
