Magical Worlds is the theme for a fun event planned for families in May.

The event will include a ramen noodle soup bar throughout the evening, a costume contest, photo booths, raffles and more, says event organizer Jazmyn Douillard.

Guests are encouraged to dress in the costumes of their favourite Magical World cartoon, superhero, prince, princess, or other characters, Douillard says.

“We just wanted to put on something fun for families. People can dress in costume or not, whatever they like,” Douillard says.

Magical Worlds takes place at Blue Spoon Catering (old Bil Nor) on Highway 97 South on Sunday, May 15 from 5 to 9 p.m.

The ramen soup buffet starts with a big bowl of broth to which people add their own choice of meats, vegetables, noodles and condiments. A cash bar will also be provided.

The cost of the evening is $50 for a family of two adults, two children and a baby under age five or; $20 per adult; $10 for children ages six to 12; and $1 per year for each child ages one to five.

A limited number of tickets are available and must be purchased in advance by May 10 at Realm of Toys.
