Stuart Antonenko (left) in 1995 created this carving from an original 14-pound rainbow trout caught in Quesnel Lake for a local resident.
The carving, made from Oregon black walnut, was placed inside the Laughing Loon before it was auctioned off on Feb. 17. Sixteen years after it was carved, Mike Krutow (right), a long-time friend of Antonenko, purchased the fish at the auction.
