The Williams Lake Lioness Club has two fundraising projects on the go: a Barkerville raffle and a Vesey’s flowers fundraising campaign.

The Barkerville raffle consists of a two-day package for two adults and two children.

The package includes admission for two days, tickets to Theatre Royale, stagecoach ride, gold panning; two nights accommodation in a miner’s cabin; a voucher from the Wake Up Jake Restaurant; a vintage photograph at Louis Blanc’s Photo Gallery; plus a gold mining kit and a fuel card.

The total value of the package is $499.

Tickets are available at various venues in town, as well as from any Lioness member. Tickets sell for $2 each and the net proceeds from the raffle will be donated to KidSport in Williams Lake.

Vesey’s Fundraising with Flowers project consists of Lioness members taking orders for seeds, flowers and bulbs.

To browse through the catalogue and plan your garden, please talk to a Lioness member on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Boitanio Mall or on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Seniors’ Activity Centre.

Delivery of the orders is scheduled for the second week in May. The net profit will be put towards the purchase of a defibrillator for the Seniors’ Activity Centre.

“We are excited about the projects and are hoping for support from our citizens to help make our community a better place to live,” says Lioness Club president Midori Kozuki.
