Lakers Car Club secretary Paul Christianson (left) and vice-president Matt Kennedy present a cheque for $3,000 to Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre executive director Nancy Gale. The funds will be used to assist with the current $600,000 renovation and expansion project at the centre to provide services for children. The car in front of them is president Wayne Potter’s 1928 Model A Ford. The one behind them if Christianson’s 1959 Cadillac. Both vehicles will escort dignitaries in the Stampede Parade next week.
