Williams Lake potter and pottery teacher Lesley Lloyd shows Macy Lainchbury, 9, how to smooth rough spots off the bottom of pots after they have been kiln fired by rubbing the bottoms of two pots together. Lloyd has been teaching pottery classes for children and youth this summer at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre next to City Hall. Children learn both hand building and wheel throwing techniques for creating masks, bowls, plates, funny animals and other creative pieces.
