Thompson Rivers University in Williams Lake welcomed 11 international students to the campus on Saturday with a reception at the university campus.
All of the students, nine from India, and two from China, are registered in the Practical Nursing program and plan to complete the entire two-year program in Williams Lake, reports TRU marketing co-ordinator Myrissa Krenzler.
“The Williams Lake School of Nursing faculty are thrilled and honoured to welcome these students into our program, our community and our family,” said Rhonda McCreight, nursing programs co-ordinator.
“We are excited to explore the multicultural diversity of this intake of students. It will be a learning experience for everyone.”
