Between thunderstorms and lightning on the Aug. 6/7 weekend there was still time for three generations of Ted Hlokoff’s family to enjoy fishing, barbecues, and water sports on Nimpo Lake.

In the picture at left Sahran Vosburg (in front), Brooke Svisdahl and Kaiden Svisdahl ride the “Hot Dog.” Hlokoff said two first-time fishermen not only caught their first fish from the lake, but cleaned, barbecued and ate them.

He said the grandkids rode tubes and the “Hot Dog” several times challenging the wind, waves, water and the boat driver to stay on top and mostly accomplished that mission.
