Despite cool weather and the occasional sprinkle, there was an excellent turn out of Horseflinians and ex-Horseflinians to the annual May Day parade on May 14.
A parade is always fun, and if you are in it, the first half of the parade before you get to the service station has a person thinking that the whole town is in the parade and there’s no one to watch, until finally there is a sign of life ahead, and everything’s good again.
The hamburgers were excellent at the community barbecue afterward and the Maypole dance went off without a hitch.
A few sales were made at the flea market and the family games were fun.
All in all this was a resounding success.
Special thanks to Kris Kenny for organizing the whole event.
