Horsefly 4-H held their annual firewood fundraiser on September 21.
The club bucked, split, piled into measured cords, and sold 38 cords of premium dry firewood. The logs were donated by sawmills and logging contractors in Williams Lake and trucked to Horsefly by Will Christenson. The event was held at the G&S Logging compound in Horsefly. Aaron Clarke of G&S bucked some of the wood with his processor. The logging industry in the Cariboo supported Horsefly 4-H in a big way.
36 cords were sold, and two cords were donated to two families in Horsefly who are community leaders and dedicated volunteers. The funds earned enable to 4-H club to cover all their expenses for 2025 and to go on a Club trip after show and sale.
