They might not know it yet, but this group of cows being herded toward the home ranch corrals at Alkali Lakeare on their way to market in Williams Lake. The rainy conditions in the Cariboo region that have been hampering haying operations have made for excellent pasture conditions, and cows like these have benefited greatly from the lush grazing situation. Last year at this same time, this pasture was burnt right off from endless hot days in a row, with no precipitation at all. From front to back, these cowboys are Keegan Smith, Greg Vanwinkle and Corben Clarkson.
