The Williams Lake Stampede Association (WLSA) is saddling up for its Annual Dinner, Dance and Auction.
Doors for the Rodeo Vegas-themed event open at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Thompson Rivers University and begin with a cocktail hour.
Dinner, provided by Sure Kitchen And Catering, will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the live auction at 7:30 p.m.
To wrap up the night, a Vancouver-based band and well-known favourite of the Cariboo, March Hare, will perform, providing attendees with a chance to sing along and dance.
WLSA general manager Amber Nustad said it’s an event the community looks forward to each year and funds from the event help make the annual Stampede possible. This year will be the 96th year for the Williams Lake Stampede.
Along with the regular auction, a silent and cowboy auction will be held, so bring your loonies and toonies and get ready to toss them into a cowboy hat.
Tickets are $60 per person or $450 for a table of eight and can be purchased at williamslakestampede.com or by visiting the WLSA office. As of Feb. 7, the event is half sold out.
