The Williams Lake Garden Club’s annual Garden and Art Tour is coming up on Saturday

The Williams Lake Garden Club is hosting a self-guided Garden and Art Tour on Saturday, July 9.

Visitors this year will be able to visit eight gardens, each unique in its own way, six in Williams Lake and surrounding area, and two in the 150 Mile area, says event spokesperson Joanne Wright.

“The gardens highlight a variety of styles: a xeriscape garden with dry stream bed; gardens of perennial flowers; gardens featuring fruit trees and vegetables as well as flowers, and much more,” Wright says.

Local musicians will be entertaining in some of the gardens.

Some of the gardens will feature displays of work by members of the Cariboo Piecemakers quilting club and the Williams Lake Spinners, Weavers and Fibre Artists Guild.

A map showing the location of the gardens is provided with each ticket.

The gardens will be open for viewing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 9.

Tickets to participate in the garden tour are $10 and available at the Open Book, Beaver Valley Feeds and Blocks ‘R Us.

A map showing the location of the gardens is provided with each ticket.

Proceeds from the tour will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake and District.

“Taking part in the garden tour will give you an opportunity to not just enjoy the gardens, but to admire the work of local musicians, quilters, spinners, weavers and fibre artists,” Wright says.
