Garden club hosts speakers

The Williams Lake Garden Club will discuss invasive plants of the Cariboo and their native alternatives for the garden.

The Williams Lake Garden Club will discuss invasive plants of the Cariboo and their native alternatives for the garden at their regular meeting next week.

Emily Sonntag from the Cariboo Regional District will talk about invasive plants.

Peter Opie will talk about native plants suitable for Cariboo gardens.

The meeting takes place Thursday, May 5 starting at 7 p.m. in the Central Cariboo Arts Centre.

The following meeting will be held Thursday, June 2 also at 7 p.m. in the arts centre next to city hall.

Guest speakers for the June meeting with be John Orlowsky the University of Northern B.C.’s greenhouse curator talking about plant nutrition and biological gardening.

Cathie Wright from  C.E. Wright Designs will also give a talk about garden photography.
