“Bring your brain too, as we’ll hear about the amazing properties of snow. “

Meet Saturday, Jan. 29, from noon to 2 p.m. at Scout Island Nature House.

Call Scout Island Nature House to register for this special event 250-398-8532 or e-mail yncwilliamslake@gmail.com.

139 Auction help

number clarified

People who would like to help out with the auction for the 139 Children’s Fundraising Society coming up at the legion on Saturday, Feb. 5 are asked to call Sharleen MacMurchy at 250-398-6222.

139 chair Greg Ashley inadvertently gave the prefix 392 in an earlier story about the event, and apologizes for the inconvenience caused to the person whose number begins with the 392 prefix.

On the bright side he says the individual has been receiving calls with offers to help with the auction event.
