Family street party Thursday

Williams Lake and District Boys and Girls Club will hold its annual street party Thursday

Free hot dogs and freezies, a bouncy castle, remote control car course, face painting, glitter tattoos, bubble making, arts, crafts, and more activities are lined up for the annual Family Street Party taking place in the lakecity Thursday evening.

Hosted by the Williams Lake and District Boys and Girls Club the event takes place at the club house and lot located at 17 South Fourth Avenue across the street from Safeway from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

The popular youth versus RCMP water fight starts at 7 p.m. says executive director Matt Neufeld.

Several community groups will also be providing information and activity booths such as the Scout Island Nature Centre and Women’s Contact Society.

Everyone is welcome to come out and join the fun.

The Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake and District is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality programs and services for youth and families in Williams Lake and area.

Through a range of social, recreation, education programs and outreach services covering young people between the ages of seven and 18 the club helps young people to learn the skills they need to grow into happy, healthy, productive adults.
