After shedding a few tears Tanis Daum was all smiles as the last of her long locks came off to raise funds for the fight against cancer during the Families Fighting Cancer dinner, dance, auction and head-shaving event held at the Elks Hall Saturday night. Daum decided to have her head shaved at the last minute and raised about $1,050 in spontaneous donations for her efforts. The event raised about $20,000 for cancer research and treatment. “It was amazing,” says event organizer Corry Williams, who holds Daum’s hand through the head-shaving ordeal.  Stylist Caitlin Smith shaves Daum as JC Young looks on behind. Four people had their heads shaved during the evening.
