Free Intro to Bouldering Instructional Clinic

June 8

From 6-9 p.m. in the bouldering area at Lake City Secondary - Williams Lake campus. Free instruction, tips, snacks, juice and bouldering shoes provided. Offered by the Williams Lake Climbing Association as part of Participaction events.

Seniors Advocate Town Hall

June 9

Williams Lake Seniors Activity Centre hosts B.C. seniors advocate Isobel Mackenzie from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

2023 Graduation Parade

June 10

The grad parade will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. and end at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Comples where the dry-grad festivities will take place until 2 a.m.

A Tribute to Paul Simon

June 10

A Horsefly Community Club Fundraiser event featuring Paul Simon songs performed by long list of local musicians. Dean Baumann, Jen Charters, Brandon Hoffman, Jenny Howell, Tanja Iwan, Cornelius Iwan, Devin Kroeger, Brent Morton, Ciel Patenaude, Cole Patenaude, Pharis Romero, Jason Romero, Mike Tudor, and more.

All ages event beginning at 7 p.m., tickets are available at Clarke’s General Store and the Open Book, $20 per person, under 12 are free.

Home-based business markets 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Williams Lake Stampede grounds, on the infield ball diamond.

Ocean’s Day event at Scout Island

June 11

From 1-3 p.m. come to Scout Island to learn about ocean animals and release a salmon fry. The event is free, but registration is required. Please email scoutisland@shaw.ca or call 250-398-8432.

Sunset DH Bike Race Series

June 13, June 27

Fun downhil race for riders of most ages. Entry is $5 and registration will take place starting at 5 p.m. at the Tourism Discovery Centre on Broadway. Doug Campbell - Hits from

the 50s, 60s and 70s at the Legion

June 15

The Legion Branch 139 Pasta Nights presents former laketown alumni Doug Campbell - Hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

This event will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Legion at 385 Barnard Street.

Soap Box Derby

June 15, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Leaving from Cariboo GMC at 370 Mackenzie Ave. South. Co-hosted by Hooligans with special guests Cariboo Search and Rescue. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

2023 Father’s Day

Traditional Pow Wow

June 16 to June 18

Williams Lake First Nation will host its annual Father’s Day Pow Wow at the Chief William Arbor 2581 Cariboo Highway 97. Grand Entry: Friday - 7 p.m., Saturday - 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday - 1 p.m.

Outdoor Spring Market

The Station House Gallery is hosting this event. Buy and sell your distinctive discards, preloved items or art and locally crafted or created items. Message the Station House for a vendor spot or for more information.

Fox Fest mountain bike event

June 18

Family-friendly mountain biking event with free shuttles, and fun for kids of all ages.

Participants must be members of the Williams Lake Cycling Club to ride shuttles. Event will be centred at the Tourism Discovery Centre on Broadway from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Williams Lake Stampede

Come on down from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and lend a hand to make sure the Williams Lake Stampede goes off without a hitch by helping get the Stampede grounds whipped into shape for the big event.

Williams Lake Community

Band Concert

June 22

On Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m., the Williams Lake Community Band will be playing on the Glen Ringwood Stage in Boitanio Park. They will be joined by students from Lake City Secondary and the Adventist Academy for two pieces as well. They expect to have over 80 players on the stage at the free live concert.

Fast Fox Trail Race

June 24

Trail run event hosted by the Cariboo Run Crew. Start and finish at the Tourism Discovery Centre with distances of 15 km starting at 8 a.m. and five km starting at 8:30 a.m. Register in advance at Tasco Supplies or online with the QR code from their Facebook page or via their website.

Pickleball Tournament

June 24 and 25

Pickleball tournament at the Williams Lake Recreation Complex in Rink 2.
