Once again there will be entertainment and cake in Boitanio Park on Canada Day July 1 to celebrate the country’s 147th birthday.
The festivities take place in the Gwen Ringwood Amphitheatre between 10 a.m. and noon.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 139 Colour Brigade kicks off the festivities .
There will also be performances by the Williams Lake Youth Fiddlers and the musical duo Perfect Match.
Brush up on your Canadian trivia as questions will be asked about Canada and its history.
Prizes will be awarded throughout the event, say city organizers.
The event may be shorter than usual this Canada Day but it is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a picnic in the park with entertainment. Bring your picnic, water bottle, blanket and lawn chair to enjoy the entertainment on stage while the children play games with the Boitanio Day Camp staff.
