Dry Grad volunteer night coming up

The 2017 Dry Grad committee is looking for activity team leaders and general volunteers to help with the various teams organizing the event.

People interested in volunteering are asked to attend a volunteer night at the Lake City Secondary School’s Williams Lake Campus on Carson Drive. The group is meeting in the library starting at 7 p.m.

Fashion show

A Bridal and Grad Extravaganza takes place Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Elks Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a fashion show starting at 2 p.m. A portion of the $15 entry fee will be donated to the Cariboo Foundation Hospital Trust. Tickets are available at Brides and Belles and The Realm of Toys in Williams Lake.

Ladies Night

The Chilcotin Road Elementary Parent Advisory Council  (PAC) is hosting its 6th Annual Ladies Night fundraiser.

The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the school gymnasium and feature more than 46 tables of goods on sale by local small businesses and crafters. There is no entry fee and all ages are welcome.

Bird identification

The Williams Lake Field Naturalists will host a Great Backyard Bird Count at Scout Island Nature Centre, Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon with  birding experts Cathy Koot and Paula Laita .
