The 2nd annual Cariboo Classic Jr Steer and Heifer Show is set to take place June 2-4 at BC Livestock in Williams Lake.

The event, which was a resounding success in its first year in 2022, already has 159 exhibitors entered this year, bringing with them over 200 head of cattle. The number is an increase of over 50 per cent over last year, making the cattle show the largest junior show in B.C.

Saturday will start with showmanship beginning at 9 a.m. and heifer and steer confirmation classic will start Sunday at 9 a.m.

Dean Spady is the president the society and explained last year the group planned the first show so that youth raising cattle had another venue to showcase their animals.
