Dancing in the Light is the title of a major conference on sexual abuse and human trafficking awareness taking place in Williams Lake July 17, 18, and 19.

The workshop is hosted by the Cariboo Friendship Society and will be held at Thompson Rivers University campus with numerous keynote speakers and workshop leaders coming in from Vancouver, Kamloops, and as far away as New York.

Workshop topics will include human trafficking in Canada, impact of sexual abuse and family violence on children, male sexual abuse, trauma, treatment and recovery options, interactive sessions on self-defence, how to talk to children and youth regarding sexual development, and more.

The registration fee includes a cultural night, live entertainment as well as beverages, snacks and lunch.
