Cariboo Regional District staff participated in a Jeans Day on Friday, Aug. 17, raising $120 for the Cops for Cancer Tour de North ride. Accepting the donation are Williams Lake RCMP Insp. Warren Brown and safer communities co-ordinator Dave Dickson. Dickson and Const. Chris Ives will both ride in the 850-kilometre trip from Prince George to Prince Rupert Sept. 14 to 20 to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. On Wednesday, Sept. 12 the annual Jail n’ Bail fundraiser will be held in Spirit Square in Williams Lake between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to raise further funds.
