CRD helps fund grant writing workshops

The Cariboo Regional District board has authorized up to $350 in grant-writing workshop funds.

The Cariboo Regional District board has authorized up to $350 in grant-writing workshop funds to be shared equally between the Electoral Areas D, F, G, H, and L.

The director initiative funds cover the cost of coffee and tea service plus two lunches for the facilitator at the grant-writing workshops to be held in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House in August.

The Northern Interior Communities Association (NICA) works with non-profit organizations in northern B.C. to write and submit successful grant applications to the British Columbia Community Gaming Grant program.

The Cariboo Regional District has partnered with the NICA over the past two years to bring their workshop to the Cariboo through the Community Grant Writer program. In 2012, approximately 60 people attended and successful applications and appeals to the gaming grant program were submitted.
