A fundraiser for the Rick Hansen monument being created for the Tourism Discovery Centre will be held at the New World Coffee and Tea House, Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Coffee and tea will be served by donation for the monument that will be in place in time for Hansen’s arrival March 25 as part of his 25th anniversary tour.
The monument will be unveiled Monday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at the TDC.
A community celebration is planned for March 25, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
