A concert with the popular Celtic inspired group Cod Gone Wild is coming up at the 150 Mile House Fire Hall.

A concert with the popular Celtic inspired group Cod Gone Wild is coming up at the 150 Mile House Fire Hall.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 24 as a fundraiser for the Cariboo Chilcotin Youth Fiddle Society.

The group includes  singer-songwriter Andrew Mercer of Newfoundland, Albertan drummer, Chad “Rhino” Carter, B.C. fiddler Susan Aylard, bass player Roy Kawano.

Based out of the Okanagan since 2009, this Celtic inspired band is focused on giving traditional music a modern edge.

Advanced tickets are available at The Open Book at $25 for adults and $5 for students and children ages 16 and under.

The show takes place at the 150 Mile House Fire Hall located at 3038 Pigeon Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the two-hour show starting at 7 p.m. A concession will be provided by the fiddle society.
