Stephen Déry, who has been studying the effects of climate change in the Cariboo Mountains above Quesnel Lake, will give a free presentation at Scout Island Nature Centre starting at 7 p.m. March 13. Dery is assistant professor, environmental science & engineering and Canada research chair for Northern Hydrometeorology.
Dery is among scientists who predict that the mountainous regions of western North America will experience rates of climate change much higher than the global average. He will discuss implications for the water cycle.
