A natural cheesemaker who teaches traditional cheesemaking all over the world is bringing his skills and expertise to Williams Lake.

David Asher wrote two books on the subject, Milk into Cheese and The Art of Natural Cheesemaking.

“This has been two years in the making and probably a one-time chance for an in-person class,” said Ingrid Johnston, who is organizing the workshop.

Williams Lake will be one of a number of locations on Asher’s list of classes, which include Saltspring Island, Jura, Switzerland, Alsace, France and Cork, Ireland..

Onward Ranch will be hosting the well-known cheesemaker for a five-day workshop June 11 through to 15.
