Celebrate Canada Day in Boitanio Park

Everyone in the Williams Lake area is invited to join the Canada Day celebrations happening at Boitanio Park on Wednesday, July 1.

Everyone in the Williams Lake area is invited to join the Canada Day celebrations happening at Boitanio Park on Wednesday, July 1.

The family festivities begin at 11 a.m.

Activities will include face painting, games and activities that celebrate being Canadian and the cultures that make up our fabulous country.

Don’t pack a lunch, enjoy some of the diverse flavours of Canada at the Vendors Village.

It will include delicious foods such as crepes, poutine and mini-donuts and popcorn as well as local businesses selling jewellery, handmade soaps, blankets, leggings and more.

The Royal Canadian Legion and the Williams Lake Pipe Band will kick off the performances at 11:30 a.m. on the Gwen Ringwood stage.

The Williams Lake Community Band, magician Jesaja Class along with local dancers and singers are some of the featured entertainment.

Cupcakes will be served at around 1 p.m.

The celebration concludes at 2 p.m.
