The Williams Lake Seniors Activity Centre is always busy and this Saturday evening is no exception.

Members of the centre will be hosting a dance and dessert night featuring the music of our own Cariboo Gold Dance Band, Saturday, April 16.

Everyone is welcome, young and old, to enjoy an evening of delicious treats and live big band music.

Sit back and chat with friends, have a coffee or tea or a tasty dessert, or grab your partner and dance to the sounds of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Harry James or Benny Goodman.

There will be a silent auction and a pie auction during the evening that is sure to be a fantastic fundraising event for the Seniors’ Centre.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the music will start at 7:30 p.m. sharp.

The Cariboo Gold Dance Band will play two full sets with a 15 minute intermission. Admission is by “donation” that is suggested to be $10 per person, for a wonderfully entertaining night with all proceeds going to support the activity centre programs.

Mark it on your calendar: Dance and Dessert and Cariboo Gold, Saturday April 16 at the Senior Activity Centre, 176 North Fourth Ave. behind the tennis courts.
