A total of 20 Army Cadets from 3064 Rocky Mountain Rangers participated in a winter fun day at the top of Fox Mountain over the Jan. 29-30 weekend.

They came bundled on the cold morning to learn about outdoor winter survival including constructing improvised shelters, fire starting, proper clothing selection and snowshoeing.

Thank you to our volunteers who came out to help serve hot chocolate and soup. Army Cadets are always accepting new recruits who are aged 12-18.

They gather in the lower hall of the Legion on 385 Barnard St. every Wednesday evening from 6:15 to 9 p.m.

Army Cadets is free to join. Come and see what fun we have in store and meet new friends.
