Blues skies and crisp fall temperatures are greeting Cariboo residents Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Environment Canada is calling for a mix and sun and clouds with a daytime high of 19C and a risk of frost overnight.

A special air quality statement is still in effect for Quesnel and Williams Lake due to wildfire smoke.

More sunny skies are expected Thursday with a daytime high of 20C before things cool off with a chance of showers for the weekend.

There are several events slated for the weekend in Cariboo, including the final Tour de Cariboo, the Williams Lake Harvest Fair and Thunder Mountain Speedway’s last races and hit-to-pass event of the season.
