Friday is the big night in Edmonton for the lakecity’s Alexis Forseille, who is competing in the Miss Rodeo Canada competition.

Friday is the big night in Edmonton for the lakecity’s Alexis Forseille, who is in the running with four other contestants for the title of Miss Rodeo Canada.

“I am looking forward to every portion of the contest with my favourites being the personal interview, speech and fashion show,” Alexis said just before she left for Edmonton.

The event included a horsemanship competition at the Northalands-Rexall Place on Monday; a written exam and personal interview on Tuesday; a speech competition on Wednesday; and public appearances on Thursday.

Today, Friday, Nov. 7 Alexis is participating in the Ladies of Canadian Professional Rodeo Fashion Show and Lunch followed by the crowning of the 2015 Miss Rodeo Canada at the Canadian Finals Rodeo this evening.

Voting  also wraps up today for the Miss Rodeo Canada 2015 People’s Choice Award. Vote for Alexis by ‘liking’ her photo on Facebook by searching for Miss Rodeo Canada 2015 Peoples Choice Award.

Voting will be closed at 3 p.m. sharp.

Alexis, 20, was the 2012-2013 Williams Lake Stampede Queen. She completed her second year in the Thompson Rivers University Bachelor of Science program with future aspirations to become a veterinarian.
