PHOTOS: BGC Williams Lake Club street party another splashy event

A street-wide water fight with first responders is always one of the highlights of the BGC Williams Lake Club's annual street party.

It was bumping in the BGC Williams Lake Club yard once again, as the annual street party drew a crowd on Aug. 28.

There was a dunk tank, bouncy castles, hot dogs and hamburgers, axe throwing and more. Things heated up briefly as the barbecue required a pause for flame control, but things were quickly cooking once again, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Cariboo GM and Gustafson's Dodge volunteers on the grill.

A range of community partners supported the event, making it bigger and better than ever, with vendors, RC vehicles at the Cariboo Chilcotin Foundry, free books for kids and teddy bear giveaways.

The weather held for the main event, with the first responders in the community gearing up and getting wet for the street-wide water fight.
