Arts centre workshop proposals sought

The Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society is seeking input from the public on the types of workshops that people would like to see take place at the new arts centre next to City Hall on Fourth Avenue.

While many groups mount their own workshops from time to time, administrative director Leah Selk says a series of workshops provided by the society would supplement these individual group workshops.

“The society is able to provide space and some facilities free of charge,” Selk says. “We may also be able to provide modest funding to help cover supplies and part of an instructor honorarium.”

But she notes the society may not be able to accommodate all proposals presented.

A decision on which ones will be accepted will be made by the end of August.

The society is accepting applications for workshop proposals until July 11.

Application forms are available through the web site at info@centralcaribooarts.com or can be picked up at the arts centre at 90 North Fourth Avenue next to City Hall.
