Tomorrow, the public will have a chance to meet some of the local talent featured on the 2011 Art Walk and Sale.

“This is a great chance for the public to meet some of the very talented artists that are taking part in this year’s art walk and sale,” says event chair Willie Dye.

Photographer and painter Chris Hornby will be on site painting at Mulberry Lane from noon until 4 p.m.

Award-winning photographer Liz Twan will sign copies of her work at Frame Creations by Bruce from noon until 2 p.m.

Jacob “Moondog” Gilespie, a very talented sculptor who works in a variety of mediums, will carve outside Borland Creek Craft Wines from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

And singer/songwriter Orin Barter, winner of this year’s Stampede Karaoke contest, will be busking at Borland Creek Craft Wines from 2 to 3 p.m.

“The 2011 Art Walk and Sale is going very well,” Dye says.

“Even though there are still eight days to go the total number of people doing the art walk is much higher than last year and there is still a steady stream of walkers each day.

“The walk has had visitors from Toronto, Vancouver, Quesnel, 100 Mile House, 108 Mile House, Wells, Lac la Hache and many other parts of B.C.  Beside visitors local politicians have also been out on the walk.”
