The 3064 Army Cadets participated in a fall FTX (field training exercise) out at Felker Lake Legion campsite on the weekend of Oct. 28-30.

Cadets had a blast learning various skills for surviving in the cold outdoors such as building shelters, constructing rope out of raw materials, and cooking over an open fire.

Cadets is open to all youth ages 12-18 years old.

They meet every Wednesday evening from 6:15 to 9 p.m. in the lower legion hall.

Sign up is free and the continued support of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 139, Canadian Tire and the Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Association is appreciated.

“Come and meet new friends and see what adventure is waiting for you,” invites spokesperson Irene Berns.
