Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Performances in the Park concert series.

The free outdoor summer concert series takes place in the Gwen Pharis Ringwood Amphitheatre in Boitanio Park.

The concerts will begin this year on Thurday, July 5 at 6 p.m. and continue each Thursday evening at the same time through until Aug. 24, says event co-ordinator Angela Sommer.

The concert series will feature two acts each week, the first from 6 to 6:55 p.m. and the second from 7:05 to 8 p.m.

All acts will be family friendly.

“We are currently looking for performers of every type to fill these performances,” Sommer says. “Applications can be downloaded or filled out online via our Facebook page or through our website.”

The application deadline for acts within the Cariboo is March 1. The application deadline for acts outside of the Cariboo is Feb. 1.

“This well attended, free event, is fun for the whole family and we look forward to seeing familiar and new faces in the crowd,” Sommer says.

The concert series is provided free of charge for the community with the support of the City of Williams Lake, Cariboo Regional District, and the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society.

For more information or sponsorship opportunities Sommer can be contacted at performances@centralcaribooarts.com or by phone at 250-305-4784.
