Annual Christmas lunch served at Williams Lake Salvation Army

City Furniture donates all the food for the lunch

Festive music and a delicious turkey meal marked the annual Christmas lunch hosted by the Salvation Army Friday, Dec. 22 in Williams Lake.

There was a line up out the door when the doors opened at noon.

Volunteer Mike Davis said he has been working on preparing 19 turkeys over the last four days for the meal.

An avid cook, Davis said he’s been part of preparing the meal for a long time.

“I like the community service, and it’s like family here,” Davis said of the Salvation Army.

The meal is made possible through a generous donation by City Furniture, who donates all the food for the lunch.
