A slice of celebration

Every celebration calls for a cake, and the BC Parks 100th celebration event at the Churn Creek Protected Area on Saturday was no exception.

Every celebration calls for a cake, and the BC Parks 100th celebration event at the Churn Creek Protected Area on Saturday was no exception. The event; 100 Years of Adventure, drew about 150 interested guests, most of whom were from Williams Lake and the near-surrounding areas. BC Parks ranger Mike Woodruff and BC Parks area supervisor Tom Hughes cut and served the cake (which pictured a moose paddling a canoe) to all who wanted a slice.
