There is so much anger in the world today it’s great to hear a positive story.
Cariboo Chilcotin’s hockey legend Carey Price, his wife Angela and his family, have launched the Price Family Foundation, a charitable group designed to nurture and bring meaningful change to the community. It will focus on recreation, athletics and community, working with organizations such as Special Olympics British Columbia (SOBC) and Elevation Outdoors. Thank you, Price family, for adding some sunshine to our too-often dreary world.

Congratulations to our MLA Lorne Doerkson on being appointed Deputy Speaker for the B.C. Conservatives in the Legislature. This will be a heavy work load along with his new extended riding but we know he can do it - and do it well.

Weather people are predicting heavy snowfalls this winter, but only in some areas. I hope Cariboo Chilcotin is one of the areas. We can’t afford anymore wildfires

I couldn’t resist sharing these “only in America” stories.
A Florida cruise company is offering cruises to Americans who want to escape Donald Trumps’ second term as U.S. President. There are four choices, one year for ”Escape from Reality; two years for “Mid-Term Selection”; three years for “Anywhere But Home”; and a four-year “Skip Forward”. The cruises will visit 140 areas ( ie South America, Caribbean, Antarctica ) but not the U.S.). It will be interesting to see how many people sign on.
An Italian artist has sold a piece of art at a Sotheby's Auction House in New York for $6.2 million. The piece, called Comedian, is a fresh banana taped to the wall with silver duct tape. Of course, the banana has to be replaced regularly. I don’t know how that compares to people paying $1,000 or more for a ticket to a Taylor Swift performance.
